SC2Pod Tournament #3

Image

Tournament #3 will be this Sunday at 7 PM GMT (click to see in your time zone) and be on ICCUP in the channel "sc2pod". To sign up all you need to do is be a registered sc2pod.com member and post a reply here (or send a PM to PIF).

This tournament will be FFA, unlike the previous tournaments. If there are 8 or fewer players, there will be only 1 game. The winner of that game is the winner of the tournament. If there are more than 8 players, there will be separate FFA matches and then a 1v1 Best of 3 match between the winners.
There will also be achievements you can earn while playing the tournament. Suggest new achievement ideas in the thread. The player with the most achievements will win the same benefits as the winner of the game. See the current achievements in PiF's thread.

For full details, see this thread.

While not available as soon as expected, the next article in our continued coverage is now available.

Unfortunately, the event itself has also not gone without problems. Prior to his match with sAviOr, Iloveoov complained about heavy headaches and blurred vision and was hospitalised. The doctors assume that this occured due to sleep deprivation, caused by intensive practice and coaching duties. However, further testing has been done and the results will barely be made available on the 22nd. This has put his participation in the event into question as both his matches with sAviOr and NaDa have been cancelled. The SC2Armory staff wishes Choi Yun Sung a speedy recovery.

However, do not fear, as all the other progamers are still very much active as they fight to claim the top two spots in their group. The upcoming matches are as follows:

    YellOw vs. Anytime on Outsider
    Nal_rA vs. Kingdom on Nostalgia
    Reach vs. ToSsGirL on Python

These games will take place on the 20th of July at 18:30 KST (11:30 CET/5:30 EST/2:30 PST). If you desire to watch them live, here is a reminder of the possible methods:
